What’s the proper order for a volvo wheel alignment?
Volvo wheel alignment, sometimes referred to as breaking or tracking, is part of standard automobile maintenance that consists of adjusting the angles of the wheels so that they are set to the car maker’s specification. The purpose of these adjustments is to reduce tire wear, and to ensure that vehicle travel is straight and true (without “pulling” to one side). Alignment angles can also be altered beyond the maker’s specifications to obtain a specific handling characteristic.

Hi,
I just put new struts/mounts/control arms/tie rods ends on my ’96 850.
Basically replaced everything I could, used OEM struts etc.I took it to Midas for an Volvo wheel alignment and after looking at the paperwork this is what they wrote:
“right front camber not adjustable, would need to get strut mount adjusters, also right rear toe off, would have to install shim.”
I’m a little lost here…is there a reason they couldn’t do this? I don’t understand…everything is brand new!!! Should I have taken it to the volvo dealer instead for the Volvo wheel alignment?

IPD sells a camber kit to increase the factory camber range.
IPD Camber Kit
On the rear toe they simply don’t know what they are doing. The rear toe is adjustable without shims. It is important that the car be aligned in this order:
Rear Toe
Front Camber
Front ToeOtherwise they will just chase their tail.

thanks for the reply.
maybe I should just install it the kit on the right front side and take it to the dealer for the Volvo wheel alignment? or might the dealer install the kit?
I don’t think i’ll take it back to midas.
