Need some help lowering your volvo?

Sport springs, or lowering springs as they are often called improve the handling by lowering the center of gravity and reducing body movement with an increased spring rate (stiffer.) Sport springs also increase firmness more than any other component, so keep these attributes in mind when considering this upgrade.

The other use of sport springs is to attain a low aggressive look that sets your car apart from the masses with a sporty low profile. Sport springs will lower your Volvo approximately 1.65″ to 1.75″and the spring rate is increased approximately 20%.

Bilstein shocks will give a firmer ride, and they match very well with IPD/TME springs. in my experience, Volvo Sport (not ornery Turbo) springs are harder than IPD/TME ones. also, IPD/TME springs are “softer” than Eibachs.

Note, on my wagon, the Bilsteins actually RAISED the Fr ride height, originally there was a 20mm gap beween top of tyre n wheel arch. with the Bils this gap increased to 40mm. after installing TME R springs the gap reverted to the original 20mm, so in the end i did not get ay lowering, but heckuva improvment over the originally harsh ride. inner fenders).
