Don’t ask me why they’re testing Summer tires in the Fall, but whatever the case, here are the results of a recent Tire Rack test:
Take Results with a Grain of Salt
Keep in mind that graph is truncated (top and bottom ends cut off), so the results look like there is a bigger difference between the tires than there really is. The truth is that the lowest scoring tire, the Kumho Ecsta LE Sport, earns a score that represents 95% of the highest score, that of the Continental ExtremeContact DW (7.15 ÷ 7.55 = .95).
